AUB has appointed Dr. Henry Azzam as director of the hub. Dr. Azzam joined AUB in 2014 and served as director of the Master’s in Finance program for ten years. Prior to his academic career, he held senior leadership roles in the financial sector, including as chief executive officer and chairman of Deutsche Bank for the MENA region. His appointment signals the seriousness with which AUB is approaching this venture, bringing deep financial sector credibility to an institution already respected for its academic pedigree.

The establishment of the hub was supported through close coordination with the DIFC and received approval by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai.
