BNW Developments and Radisson Hotel Group Launch Radisson Blu Hotel and Residences at RAK Central

Ras Al Khaimah’s emergence as a serious investment and hospitality destination reached a defining milestone this week, as BNW Developments, the emirate’s single largest private developer, unveiled its landmark partnership with Radisson Hotel Group. The two organisations have signed the Radisson Blu Hotel, RAK Central and Radisson Blu Residences, RAK Central, a landmark mixed-use hospitality development scheduled to open in 2029. The launch, attended by over 8,000 guests from across the real estate and hospitality industry, signals unambiguously that RAK’s growth story is no longer a regional subplot; it is a headline.

RAK Central: A Financial District Taking Shape

The project will be located within RAK Central, a 3.1 million sq ft master-planned destination envisioned as Ras Al Khaimah’s future financial hub, strategically positioned close to Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra Village, with direct connectivity to the E11 highway linking the emirate to the rest of the UAE.

RAK Central is envisaged as the work-and-play counterpoint to Al Marjan Island’s resort-led shoreline, adding a business-oriented skyline to the emirate’s mix of beaches, mountains, and desert experiences. For developers and investors, the logic is compelling: as RAK’s leisure infrastructure matures, the demand for a credible commercial and residential core becomes increasingly urgent, and RAK Central is designed to fill exactly that gap.

The Development: Scale, Amenities, and Brand Depth

Radisson Blu Hotel, RAK Central will comprise 361 keys within a newly built property positioned above curated retail and cinema offerings, creating a vibrant day-to-night address. Designed for both business and leisure travellers, the hotel will feature five food and beverage venues, a rooftop terrace and pool bar, meeting and event spaces, a spa and gym, a Business Class lounge, and a kids’ club. Adjacent to the hotel, Radisson Blu Residences, RAK Central, will include 222 branded residences.

Those residences are not simply apartments with a hotel flag attached. Residents will have access to hotel-delivered services such as housekeeping and concierge, alongside shared operational efficiencies and food and beverage synergies across the wider complex. For buy-to-let investors, that operational backbone is a meaningful differentiator in a market where yield consistency and management quality are increasingly scrutinised.

Why Branded Residences Are the Asset Class to Watch

Branded residences continue to be among the fastest-growing real estate segments in the Gulf, as buyers increasingly seek homes that combine everyday comfort with the assurance of a trusted hospitality brand. Professionally managed services, consistent standards, and access to hotel-style amenities are emerging as key differentiators in major urban markets.

BNW’s positioning of this development as a “commercially resilient asset class” is deliberate and well-founded. At a time when standalone residential projects face increasing competition, the Radisson Blu flag provides investors with brand recognition, operational certainty, and a globally understood quality benchmark that independent developments simply cannot replicate.

Leadership Voices on the Opportunity

Ankur Aggarwal, Chairman and Founder of BNW Developments, framed the announcement as a strategic statement of investor confidence: by integrating high-end residences with a flagship hotel, the development is designed to deliver durable returns alongside a globally benchmarked living experience. Elie Milky, Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group for the Middle East and North Africa, pointed to Ras Al Khaimah’s strong infrastructure pipeline and expanding mix of demand drivers as the foundation for this commitment.

For the market at large, the message is clear: RAK Central is no longer a vision on a master plan; it is a destination under construction, backed by capital, brand credibility, and institutional conviction.
