World Leaders and UAE President Send Wishes as Dubai Honors Indian Prime Minister
Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, lit up on Saturday night to celebrate the 75th birthday of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The tower displayed Modi’s images along with the message “Happy Birthday”, while its lights changed colors to mark the occasion.
The Burj Khalifa also shone in the saffron, white, and green colors of the Indian flag. A similar tribute was seen earlier on August 15, when the landmark celebrated India’s Independence Day.
Earlier in the day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wished Modi on social media platform X. He wrote: “Sincere congratulations to @NarendraModi on your birthday. I wish you continued good health and happiness, and ongoing success in advancing India’s progress and the prosperity of its people.”
Prime Minister Modi responded warmly, saying: “Thank you, my brother, for your warm wishes. I deeply value our close friendship and the mutually beneficial India–UAE partnership, which continues to attain new heights in all areas.”
Along with the UAE President, leaders from several countries — including Russia, Israel, Italy, and New Zealand — also extended their greetings. They praised Modi’s leadership, vision, and role in strengthening India’s global presence.
The illuminated tribute at the Burj Khalifa highlighted the strong ties between India and the UAE, while also reflecting the international recognition of Modi’s growing influence on the world stage.
