Emirates has announced a temporary pause on all its social media advertising campaigns, after detecting a surge in fraudulent ads impersonating the airline. These fake promotions trick users into buying bogus tickets, sharing personal data, or clicking on harmful links, often using misleading visuals and unofficial URLs that mimic Emirates’s branding.
In a statement issued on July 30, 2025, Emirates emphasized that customer safety is their top priority. The airline is working hand-in-hand with social media platforms to identify and remove these deceptive ads swiftly—sometimes just minutes after they appear.
Emirates explained that continuing its own ad campaigns on platforms overwhelmed by impostor content could further confuse the public and dilute the value of its official communications. Pausing ads helps prevent customers from inadvertently engaging with scam posts masquerading as legitimate offers
