Dubai Airport Tops the Charts Again with 46 Million Passengers in 2025’s First Half
In a testament to its global aviation dominance, Dubai International Airport (DXB) has once again held firm as the world’s busiest international airport. According to newly released data for the first half of 2025, DXB welcomed a staggering 46 million passengers through its terminals, setting a fresh benchmark in global air travel recovery and resilience.
This achievement marks a steady climb in international traffic, continuing the momentum Dubai has maintained over the past few years. Compared to the same period last year, the airport witnessed a notable growth in passenger volume, reflecting Dubai’s strategic importance as a transit hub and its well-executed tourism and business initiatives.
Officials attribute the consistent surge in flyers to several key factors: Dubai’s appeal as a global destination, the UAE’s efficient visa policies, robust airline connectivity led by Emirates and flydubai, and the city’s year-round calendar of high-profile events, exhibitions, and entertainment.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said the numbers are a clear signal that travel confidence is fully back. “We’ve not only maintained our leading position globally, but we’re also seeing a transformation in passenger experience. Dubai has become more than just a transit stop—it’s a destination in itself.”
