Transworld isn’t acting alone. LuLu Group International has been transporting fresh food to the UAE via dedicated charter cargo flights, with one recent shipment delivering around 12,000 packages of fresh produce, approximately 80,000 kilograms, from India to Abu Dhabi via Etihad Airways.

UAE retailers maintain one to three months of staple stock, with supply chains being re-mapped across air, sea, and land routes depending on where disruption occurs. For now, businesses are absorbing the increased freight costs, but prolonged disruption could eventually filter through to retail prices.
