Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has announced development of a new VVIP terminal and private jet hangar in partnership with Falcon Executive Aviation, part of Alex Group Investment. The project, unveiled at Dubai Airshow, strengthens the emirate’s position as a global tourism and entertainment hub.
Premium Facilities for High-Value Tourism
Located just 15 minutes from Ras Al Khaimah’s beach resorts, the facility will serve as a gateway for luxury travelers, investors, and entertainment industry visitors. Falcon Executive Aviation will develop a Fixed Base Operation featuring a 1,500-square-metre terminal, an 8,000-square-metre multi-purpose hangar, and 9,000 square metres of aircraft apron and parking areas.
The VVIP terminal will include a royal lounge, four private lounges, and premium hospitality spaces, along with dedicated aircraft parking, a helipad, and space reserved for future vertical mobility developments. Built to international aviation standards, the facility emphasizes privacy, efficiency, and the signature customer experience.
Sustainable Design and Green Credentials
Designed for LEED Gold certification, the terminal will incorporate solar power, electric ground support equipment, and infrastructure to support sustainable aviation fuel as part of its goal to achieve net-zero operational emissions. This commitment positions RAK as a leader in sustainable luxury aviation.
Strategic Milestone for the Emirate
Eng. Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Civil Aviation, described the project as a major milestone that enhances Ras Al Khaimah’s ability to welcome high-value visitors and supports the emirate’s tourism growth strategy.
Construction is expected to take 15 months, with the terminal scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027. The development aligns with Ras Al Khaimah’s broader plans to expand tourism capacity and position itself as one of the Middle East’s premier luxury and adventure destinations.
