Travelers !!! No Power Banks allowed on EMIRATES flights starting October 1

Not more than 100 watt hours power banks will now be allowed to be carried in Emirates airlines as per the new policy that comes into force from October 1,2025. Power banks up to 100 watt hours can only be carried but may not be used in flight cabin and cannot be charged inside the flight cabin using any aircraft power source.

Power banks will not be allowed now to be kept in overhead storage cabinet area for bags and must be only placed in the seat pocket or inside the bag under the seat in front.

Certainly now allowed in check-in luggage which is the rule followed till date.

The is a move towards reduction of risks involved with power banks while onboard. If in seat pocket or bag below front seat and in case of emergency , the crew can access the location and respond faster to douse any kind of fire.

The travelers are therefore advised to follow the new rule onboard Emirates.
