UAE and African nations unite to boost tourism, infrastructure, and connectivity, creating jobs and fostering sustainable economic growth across the continent.
Leaders from the UAE and over 20 African countries came together at the UAE–Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025 in Dubai to unveil a $6 billion investment plan aimed at transforming tourism across the continent. The funding will support projects in tourism, aviation, transport, logistics, infrastructure, and digital transformation, opening new opportunities for under-served destinations and enhancing regional connectivity.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted Africa’s potential, emphasizing its natural resources, strategic vision, and alignment with the UAE’s innovation-driven approach to tourism. The partnership focuses on five strategic pillars: tourism development, investment and infrastructure, aviation and connectivity, sustainability, and support for SMEs. The initiative is expected to generate around 70,000 jobs, offering both economic growth and local empowerment.
This ambitious plan positions the UAE as a key investment partner in Africa, turning tourism into a catalyst for long-term regional integration, economic diversification, and sustainable development.
