Lulu Retail Holdings, the GCC’s largest pan-regional retailer, has announced plans to open 50 new outlets across the region between 2026 and 2028, creating hundreds of employment opportunities.
The expansion follows a strong 2025 performance, with the company reporting record revenues of Dh29.1 billion, up 4.1 per cent year-on-year. Net profit reached Dh753 million as the retailer opened 20 new stores last year, bringing its total count to 267 locations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
Multi-Format Growth Strategy
The planned stores will include hypermarkets, express stores, and mini markets, catering to diverse customer needs across the GCC. This expansion represents a significant commitment to regional retail infrastructure and job creation in markets experiencing continued economic growth.
Digital Momentum Accelerates
Alongside physical expansion, Lulu’s e-commerce business is surging. Online sales jumped 38.6 per cent in 2025, accelerating to 51.8 per cent growth in Q4. Online channels now represent 7.3 per cent of total retail sales.
Notably, sales through Lulu’s proprietary digital platforms are growing at nearly double the rate of third-party aggregator channels, reflecting the success of its direct-to-consumer strategy.
The company also announced a second-half dividend of 3.5 fils per share, bringing the total 2025 dividend to 7 fils per share—approximately Dh724 million—offering shareholders an attractive yield while maintaining financial discipline with net debt at Dh9.18 billion.
