The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South is undergoing a major expansion to accommodate the Middle East’s surging demand for widebody aircraft maintenance and cabin services. This strategic development positions Dubai as a critical global aviation center for large aircraft operations.
Major Expansion with UUDS AERO
MBRAH has expanded its partnership with UUDS AERO (UAE-based aircraft maintenance company), allocating two new Code F plots that can each handle three widebody aircraft for cabin completion and retrofits. This expansion significantly increases the hub’s capacity to serve regional and international aviation markets with specialized services for large jets.
First-of-Its-Kind Cabin Excellence Center
The hub will develop a 40,000-square-meter Cabin Excellence Center within its Airline Manufacturing and Supply Chain Zone, marking the first facility of its kind in the region. This center will substantially boost the hub’s ability to provide sophisticated cabin solutions for widebody aircraft, addressing growing maintenance, repair, and overhaul requirements from Gulf carriers and international fleets.
Industry Certifications and Capabilities
UUDS AERO operates as a fully integrated cabin completion and modification service center, holding certifications from both the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the General Civil Aviation Authority. The company provides comprehensive services including design, certification, manufacturing, maintenance, and eco-friendly aviation solutions.
Strategic Location Advantage
Located at Dubai South near the future Al Maktoum International Airport, MBRAH benefits from exceptional connectivity and infrastructure. The facility’s strategic positioning strengthens Dubai’s role as a global aerospace hub, supporting the region’s growing widebody fleet operations and international aviation connectivity requirements.
