Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Investment Company has announced a landmark $75 million strategic investment in WHOOP, the human performance and health technology company, marking a significant step in the UAE’s ambition to become a global hub for preventative healthcare and life sciences innovation.
What the Mubadala-WHOOP Partnership Involves
Unveiled at Make it in the Emirates 2026, the partnership is designed to expand performance science research, biomarker testing and digital health services across the UAE. As part of the agreement, WHOOP will open a dedicated UAE office and launch its Advanced Labs offering in the country — making the UAE the first international market outside the United States to offer WHOOP’s full biomarker experience.
WHOOP will also roll out complete Arabic localisation across its digital platform, making its health-tracking tools more accessible to Arabic-speaking users across the region.
WHOOP-Mubadala Health Research Initiative Launched
A new joint research initiative will support longitudinal studies in cardiovascular health, sleep science, recovery and behavioural performance in collaboration with leading UAE institutions. This research-driven approach aligns with the country’s broader push towards precision diagnostics, genomics and data-enabled health systems.
